The role of Business Engineer/ Business Developers synergises three key skills – entrepreneurship, recruitment and management - at the service of the company's business with a diverse key account clientele consisting of market leaders in banking/ insurance, energy, industry, transport, services, etc. Job offers of Business Engineers/ Business Developers also offer a wide range of assignments but are all based on a common skills set.

Business Training by Synchrone

As we see it at Synchrone, the job of Business Engineer/ Business Developer has several aspects and disciplines to be mastered. From their arrival in the sales force, new Synchrone recruits benefit from a training path on the different aspects of their activity: commercial approach and development, recruitment and management of the careers of consultants. They will take a complete course offered by Synchrone University allowing them to perform their functions with peace of mind and rapidly meet their targets.

You will thus focus on growing the company and multiplying IT and Specialist projects it carries out with its key accounts, as part of its Consulting, Data Expertise and Digital Experience Offer.

You will thus need to have an entrepreneurial approach, and in this respect be a stakeholder in the prospection, creation and development of a portfolio of key account customers. You will analyse the needs of your customers in order to prepare relevant bids to engineering project tenders. Finally, you will share information and experience by making relevant and effective reports to the sales department.

At the same time your task will be to source, approach on social media, evaluate and recruit your future consultants in collaboration with a recruitment cell dedicated to business support.

Finally, as a Manager, your prerogative will be the training, management and development of your team of consultants at key moments in their career. You are responsible for overseeing their integration, the successful performance of their assignments and conducting business meetings.

Thus we recruit Business Engineers/ Business Developers with a versatile skills set, capable of being responsible for the commercial development of their remit, recruitment and management of their employees.

Commercial challenges the heart of your day to day work

Driven by the Sales Department and coordinated by the whole Business Team, commercial challenges are part of the everyday life of business engineers, who are thus integrated into heterogeneous teams including all levels of the commercial hierarchy (Managers, Senior Managers, Department Heads). These challenges boost commercial teams in the attainment of their goals in terms of recruitment and loyalty of their consultants, the acquisition of new customers and development of the scope of intervention with the historic customers of Synchrone. They are also a driver of solidarity and competitiveness and give a fun and interactive dimension to the prerogatives of business engineers.

The managerial dimension is an important aspect of the assignments we entrust to our Business Engineers/ Business Developers. You guarantee the successful integration of your consultants in their project team and Synchrone, and regularly organise oversight meetings to ensure the success of their assignment as well as their satisfaction in terms of the career plan proposed by the company.

You develop the loyalty of your employees, as relays of the actions of the Communications Department and the Training and Personnel Management Divisions (internal newsletter, participation/ coordination of workshops, HR documentation, etc.) and suggest your own events and team building: Breakfast by Synchrone, Team Building by Synchrone, etc.

Finally, you are required to take responsibility for commitment projects, such as Project Packages, Skills Centres or Service Centres. In this sense you manage the quality of service supplied to the customer via a team of Synchrone consultants, in close relationship with the company's Operations Department.

I’ve held the position of business engineer at Synchrone for a year. Since my arrival in the company, and after a business training period, I was challenged by the development of the company's Digital by Synchrone expertise offer. Supported by my Manager, I drew on my skills in commercial development, recruitment and management to set up my team of consultants and offer our support to new customers.

I thus recruited and ensured the loyalty of thirty Digital Talents working on complex and innovative projects with large groups such as Orange Bank and RCI Bank. In particular I was responsible for a Skills Centre of 10 consultants who developed with Orange Bank the third party application acceptance of the OSLO project of bank products and “selfcare" subscription services.

The profile of our business engineers

We are seeking people with Bac + 5 training from a Business or Management School, or an MBA.

Business Engineer/ Business Developer positions are open to junior profiles with an initial successful experience in commercial development, consultancy or project management. Experience in an IISS/ESN is an added bonus.

A foundation of commercial or managerial skills is a bonus

The training course offered by Synchrone University allows new Business Engineers/ Business Developers to acquire the skills necessary for their activities, in the fields they do not, de facto, master. Nevertheless, a skills base in commercial development, consultancy or project management is a real bonus, and provides a good start in the great majority of cases.

Independence, being a driving force behind proposals and excellent interpersonal skills are all required, as is a desire for challenge and great tenacity. We put a lot of focus on searching for consultants with an excellent team spirit, and proven interpersonal and customer service skills.
